About Me
Hi, I’m Yiannis.
Ever since college, I’ve been fascinated by sharing cool facts and big ideas—though for a long time, I kept them to myself. I’d read something about black holes, time, or human behavior and want to tell someone, but I worried people wouldn’t want me to “nerd out.”
That changed when I read Houston, We Have a Narrative. It showed me that even the most complex science can feel alive when told as a story. That’s when I started writing seriously—turning ideas from astronomy, philosophy, psychology, health, and mathematics into something warm, clear, and inviting.
One question has followed me since I was a kid: Why is the sky blue? No one had an answer back then. They’d shrug or change the subject. Years later, a Greek YouTube channel called Kathimerini Physici (Everyday Physics) explained it to me—and I felt the joy of finally understanding something I’d carried for years. That joy is the heart of why I write.
My voice is part curious friend, part warm teacher. I believe in assuming intelligence, not prior knowledge—breaking things down without dumbing them down.
And because I believe in supporting the kinds of places that nurture curiosity, I share affiliate links from Bookshop.org instead of the big Brazilian forest. It’s one small way to support independent bookstores and keep the love of learning alive in local communities.
